Here We Are, Moses!!!

Here We Are, Moses!!! is a comic book guide to the promised land even for the biggest ignorants. Loosely based on the book and board game Are We There Yet, Moses?, which tells the story of the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt.

Zdenda and Ráchel go on vacation to Israel with Grandpa Hugo. Besides Jerusalem, they also visit Tel Aviv, kibbutz by the Sea of Galilee, Golan Heights, Negev Desert, Masada and Dead Sea. There is no shortage of sights in Israel, but this book is no ordinary guidebook. The authors show an interesting country in a complicated region in a fun and understandable way. Moses himself will come to help! And for the first time he can see the Promised land as he died just before the Jews arrived there.

Here We Are, Moses!!! is also an authentic testimony of the journey through Israel that the authors undertook together while working on this book. The artist, illustrator and cartoonist Kakalík reflects immediate impressions with his typical humor, while Pavlína Šulcová observes the country with the experience of ten years when she lived in Tel Aviv and had the opportunity to get to know Israel and Israeli society from all possible angles.
